June 12—22, Truepenny Projects Presents:

Salty

Written by AJ Clauss

Truepenny Projects presents Salty, a darkly funny queer fable set in one of the last remaining conservation zoos on the planet. As climate collapse renders the future unbearable, two male penguins defy the odds—and the humans spiraling around them—by raising an egg in their Antarctic exhibit.

Running time: 90 minutes.
CONTENT NOTE: This material contains haze, troubling sounds, profanity, and light sexual themes. As well as references and depictions of death, grief, panic attacks, and sexy penguin pauses. Not suitable for people under 15.

July 17—19, Sophie Maguire Presents:

Fallopia

A ‘garden’ is grown in the Voxel! Part installation, part performance, FALLOPIA is an immersive garden experience where Plants are actors and the Garden a chorus. Questioning the human campaigns for and against particular vegetal species, FALLOPIA uses The Theater to deepen our understanding of, relationship with and empathy for Plants commonly dismissed as ‘weeds’, and asks, what is a garden?

Running time: 50 minutes.
CONTENT NOTE: The performance includes nudity. The installation uses living plants and might cause allergies to those commonly affected.
